Last Sunday we brunched at the new branch of Elephant Grounds in Wong Chuk Hang.

This bright and airy warehouse space has lots of room for children to roam around with a limited but decent menu including Korean fried chicken (pictured below), chargrilled romaine Caesar salad and avocado toast, all reasonably priced at around $80 a dish. We would have preferred to eat from plates rather than takeaway boxes but hey...

The coffee selection is also impressive, including the a la mode "bulletproof" containing grass fed butter and octane oil. This apparently allows a sustained release of caffeine rather than the high and crash we know so well. Er, why is my husband now asleep then?!

Last but not least are their ice-cream sandwiches, which had been our selling point to the kids. To be honest, I was expecting a couple of cardboard wafers to encase a bland vanilla so was delighted to find some high quality gelato between shortbreads with sprinkles of candied peel and freeze dried raspberries.
There's also a small store attached selling gourmet/healthy food items including SOTE popcorn, kale chips and truffled salt. Definitely worth a visit if you are around the forever improving Wong Chuk Hang!
